Did you know that in Michigan being gay is still a legitimate reason to be fired from your job? I learned that today. Pretty soon, I bet, with the way things seem to be going regarding gays and lesbians in our communities, people are going to get even more discriminatory. I know exactly what your talking about. People always talk about how far womans rights or civil rights have come from "way back when" but in all honest truth, your exactly right. Why do women never get the same high-profile/high-paying jobs that males do? Why hasn't a woman become president? If we're sooo equal then what happend to those things? Are they just omitted? I'm thinking yeah.

You find out about the "being fired for being gay" thing today in Cotter's class? We did, well, my CE article was on Prop2 & that's what brought it up. Honestly, I'm not shocked. There are so many people like that in the world today who still say that being gay isn't something your born as.."it's a mental choice" (direct quote) which I find completely offensive. Then of course they started quoting the bible and yada yada. I just don't get why people think they can play God and try and but a definition on love. Love is a feeling beteween two people and no-where does it say "two people of opposite sexes". People like that just piss me off with their close-mindedness. And now MI's jumping on the bandwagon. It's just wrong.
