... and it's now sitting pretty by my window.
Last night was the post-funeral wake for Nick, my dad's best high school chum. And, boy, let me tell you, it was one rockin' party. Just the way Nick would have liked it. The only tears I caught were from my aunt Mikie, but that was because the flowers were reminding her of Wendi's funeral. Which reminds me of the little "it's a small world" wake-up call we got last night. It turns out Mae-ling, Nick's partner at work, is Boyd's cousin. Boyd was Wendi's first (well, only) husband. Mae-ling was the flower girl at the wedding! I think catching up with Mae helped Mikie.
I almost hope the wind turns up tonight for New Years. I want there to be a crazy storm to bring in 2005.
Now, boys and girls, it's Resolution TIME!!
1. I resolve to no longer hold onto resolutions; to live my life with no ties to anything, no regrets, no guilt. I will work to be who I am and to get where I am to be. I resolve to be FREE.
Yeah. I give myself 3 days.
