Down With Pigeons - Gaining Followers
I had my second all-day Speech Competiton yesterday. I was double entered, but only placed with my humerous interpretation speech - Down With Pigeons by Robert Benchley. I got 2nd out of 18! Yay! One of my final round judges approached me afterwards and commented, "Very funny. Seeing such a sweet sounding Catholic girl talking about pigeon food... Funny." A couple girls who watched said they were crying fom laughing so hard. WOW. That's all quite encouraging.
Oh! Bravo is having a day of hot men. First, Ewan McGregor on Long Way Round, then The Princess Bride with Cary Elwes. I mentioned it was hot man day on Bravo to Andy when The Princess Bride came on as he had been teasing me about my "boyfriend" Ewan McGregor earlier, and he said, "You think he's (Cary Elwes) hot?" "Oh yeah!" "Is he the one all the girl's in your class swooned over when you watched this movie?" "Yup!" "?" "Look," [Looks at Cary Elwes saying "As you wish."] "Did you even have to ask! I mean look!"
Riiight. Now I'm done before I make an even larger fool out of myself.

"Allison?"
"Yeah?"
"Where are you you?"
"Hiding."
[I go into the next room where Andy is lying on his back on the couch]
"Did you call me, oh pathetic one?"
"My slipper fell off. My foot is cold. Could you help me?"
"Oh good God."
[Puts slipper on his foot]
"Thank you. My foot thanks you too."
"Yeah."
[Leaves room, shaking head]
"What is scrapebooking?"
"What?"
