My grandpa left today. San Diego to Dallas to Fort Meyers, Florida. He seemed cranky this morning, but I think it was because the airport was overwhelming. He was greeted with a touch screen self-service check in, an impatient airport employee, and the security check of dread. He hates having to take off his precious boots and belt. Poor guy.
For the first time in months, it has rained in San Diego. You want to know the smart idea I got this morning? I thought it would be good practice to DRIVE! My 4Th time on the road and I handled a down pour and glaring headlights. Never again.
I love rainy weather, especially in the wee hours of the morning when the sun turns all the clouds the most amazing shade of blue. Downtown San Diego is gorgeous at that time. Too bad my camera batteries died.
