New operating precedure for this blog.

Okay, I'm going to try something different.

I originally started this blog largely to discuss politics, but I haven't been doing that much, because I haven't figured out how to organize it.

Here's the new plan.

On social issues I am quite liberal -- meaning I believe that people have the right to do whatever they want as long as they aren't hurting others.

On political issues/organization I am a moderate or "Classical Liberal" or (by some definitions) "paleoconservative" -- basically meaning that I believe that government should be as small as possible and should keep its nose out of people's business.

Overall, I am a Green.

What do Greens stand for?

Well, the original Four Pillars on which the Greens were founded are:

1) Ecological Wisdom
2) Grassroots Democracy
3) Social Justice
4) Nonviolence

Many Green groups later expanded these into Ten Key Principles, which have been phrased in various ways. One formulation is:

1) Ecological Wisdom
2) Grassroots Democracy
3) Personal and Social Responsibility
4) Nonviolence
5) Decentralization
6) Community Based Economics
7) Feminism
8) Respect for Diversity
9) Global Responsibility
10) Sustainability

So what I'm going to try to do is cycle through these different topics -- a "theme of the day" thing.

At this point what I plan to do is have three topics per day.

I'll cycle through the Four Pillars on a four day cycle, and post on two Key Principles per day on a five day cycle, so we'll get a little mix-and-match thing going here.

However, I'm not going to put a gun to my head to ensure consistency in all this, and I'll also post about whatever else comes to mind.
