HEY, EVERYONE! Happy New Year! I am SO very happy for the 2010 to start. The first decade of the 2k haven't been kind to me or my family at all, so here's not only hoping but KNOWING it's gonna be a better, improved decade.
Yesterday we were gonna spend it at home, just cleaning the house and stuff but pretty much at the last moment we decided to go and visit my uncle Rojo - mom's older brother - in San Miguel de Allende, which is about 40 minutes away from Queretaro, so we took the dinner -codfish chocolate-sugar cookies and a salad, all made by moi - and my uncle did some pasta as well as a SODELICIOUS mushroom-tomate sauce. And then we decided to spend the night there since we were already there.
IT WAS FINE even though I did end up sleeping on the floor since, well, tiny flat is tiny, but basically it was great. We had breakfast together and then we lounged on my uncle's room watching TV and mocking national artists. And now we're back home, and dad went to get pizzas and chicken for lunch.
I have only two purposes for this year, and one is depending on the other and visceversa. I WANT to go back to studying, either College or Gastronomy, so I'm going to be looking into that as of this Monday. I'm giving myself until March as the MOST to see this. If by March I've nothing on concrete, then I'm back to getting a job, any job at all.
My purposes from last year? Well. I did something this year: I wrote my script and went to classes and FINALLY lost my phobia to go out of the house. And I lost 20 kilos! I went from 110 kilos to 87 kilos so far. I still have to loose about another 20, more or less, so here's hoping that next January I'll be healthier and on my weight. You have no idea how I cheered when I could put a pair of my old jeans on.
And I had more to say but lunch is here, so it'll have to wait until later. I'll also have to do my End of the Year Writing Round Up later-ish, and I'll have to think a little bit more about the Fandom/Creative-wise things I want to do.
But well, it bears repeting.
