SO. We don't have cable! And that means no phone and no inernet (I'm stealing someone's wifi signal, shuuuuush). Yesterday I waited like the reasonable person I am to see if they'd get it back, but since they didn't, today I went out and faced them in person.

Yes, they're fixing it or whatever, but the reason why this merits an update is this:

A mom and her toddler were in front of me. The boy must have been around two years old since he still babbled a lot when he 'spoke' and he seemed tired and possibly hungry. He kept on rubbing his eye and making this kind of whining noises, pulling at his mom's shirt. I tried to make him smile and all but although he giggled a bit, he went back to doing the 'pay attention to me' thingy.

Mom: *Ignores*
Toddler: Maamaaaaaa *whinewhinewhinewhine pulls at her shirt*
Mom: *Doesn't even try to calm him, she just shifts her hip to keep a better grip*
Toddler: *DOESN'T LIKE THAT. Starts crying*
Me: *Lalalalala don't get involved don't get involved none of your business don't get involved*
Mom: *Sort of starts shushing*
Todler: *OH NO, now it's on. CRYING*
Me: *DON'T GET INVOLVED IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS*
Mom: *SOUNDING ANNOYED* Stop crying! Are you a girl? Is that why you're crying? Only girls cry, you know.
Me: ........................................

Thankfully we were called both at the same time to different parts of the office, and that stopped me from ranting about gender prejudice, because I was THIS CLOSE to stepping on that bomb. Poor baby.

stupidity, internet
