What a wonderful story!
I particularly like this sentence:
What he loved about Julia wasn’t the feeling of peace she gave to everyone around her, or her ethereal beauty; it wasn’t even that she quite obviously didn’t love him back and he fancied himself a romantic hero.

That, for me, is a unique look at Conrad's soul.

Oh, Allira. There are so many things I love in this, I would be in danger of leaving you feedback longer than the story. I grinned and felt my heart clench by turns, and in that last one I felt a swell of tears behind my eyes, a swell of something else in my heart.

I also love how he became Wolfram's babysitter, and what he loved Julia for. And sex with Yozak. And the way he thinks of his father. And Gwendal reading to him. And Elvis and Star Trek. And now I am just reciting your fic back to you, but really I love this so very much! ♥♥♥

aldkfjaldsk, this is wonderful! I love fics that have a little bit of everything -- seriousness, humor, depth, poignance, and this one has all of that. I love the way you've treated the Konrad/Wolfram and Yuuri/Konrad/Wolfram possibilities, and I really love what you said about Wolfram's father. It's always bothered me, what became of Wolfram's father -- I've seen up to ep 71, and as far as I can tell, there's one time when Wolfram said "my father told me..." and other than that, there's nothing. If his father ignored and neglected him, as you mention, I think that could explain part of what makes Wolfram what he is today. |

Okay, fine, I'd been resisting, but if awesome things like this are going to be posted there, I think I'm going to have to go join conradcentric now. :)

Thank you so much! I've pretty much formed my own canon-interpretation for those plot wholes the anime has, and this about Wolfram's father is one of them, because, as you say, I think it makes sense.
