Not dead!

At least not yet.

So I'm in an education practicum (necessary for the masters in teaching program). For the past few Wednesdays, the students in the class have been driving to Lee High School, where we're tutoring students who are at risk to not pass the TAKS test. In addition, as part of my grade, I have to shadow my tutoring student for one school day. Unfortunately, that day is tomorrow.

I don't want to go! I graduated high school so that I wouldn't have to be a high school student ever again. I want to teach high school, but that's different. This is the student part - being ruled by the bell, squeezing my way through halls during passing periods, and eating lunch in the cafeteria (eep!). And the kid I'm shadowing doesn't really want me to shadow him. My professor talked him into it - letting him know what a huge favor it is to me to let me shadow him, since it's part of my grade - but I'm under instructions from him to pretend that I don't know him. Awesome.

And on top of that, my iPod died today. It's not the batteries, I don't think. It just froze in the middle of a song. I can't turn it off, or return to the menu, or go to the next song...it's just dead. And I definitely don't have the money to replace it, right now.

This is shaping up to be two bad weeks in a row.
