So, I go for a job interview for a new Petsmart, which is opening nearby.
I'm thinking that being a bather and possibly trained for a groomer would be ok, I love dogs. Sometimes I'd rather be with them than with people. ( that sounds so clique, but they are just the best.)
So, I go and meet the new manager, and it goes well. I do all the things I have been reading about to have a successful interview.
And then, yesterday I get a call that he wants to offer me a job.
So, GREAT , I think.
Well, it turns out that they can only pay $8.50 and hour and it's only gonna be 20 hrs a week, or maybe30 max. even if I work all weekend and nights.
I don't know about you but I don't think it is worth 150 to 200 dollars a week to work there, which would be all I would take home. I told him that the money is low, and that I would let him know...but I already knew that I wasn't gonna take it.
So, I asked him if he could go a little higher...but he said he couldn't. So, that is that. It was just so disappointing, but I guess there are so many people out of work that they can get many others to work for that.
If I'm gonna work for that crummy wage, at least it should be something that is in art or something that I really love.
So, I think that I will concentrate my job search for something in Art. That's what I was schooled in, and that's what my resume says, too.
