here's the abbreviated version:

I go in for the surgery, and wait...

for a long time

the doctor decides after reviewing my case again that she'd rather not do the surgery
she wants to be cautious, because, of course, I am pregnant and it is all on my cervix

so instead, she just went in for a looksie

got in there and said, let's do a biopsy

apparently, the growths are all in one small part of my cervix, huzzah, contained
however, it's very heavy in that one small area, which makes her worry

so she did a biopsy

no results yet, could be up to another 9 days

every three months she'll check the progress of the growths

if she doesn't have to do the surgery, she won't until after I give birth

in fact, as of this moment, I'm scheduled 6 weeks after I give birth to have it done

the catch is that the procedure burns the cervix and there is a high likelyhood that I won't be able to carry another baby after this

the good news: she won't let me go past my due date, so it'll be early or on time, which suits me fine

more when I hear it
