Back from my very first ultrasound!!
It was kind of neat actually. Up until now I've been so nervous, scared, wary, afraid.. you name a negative emotion and that's me.
They at first did the abdominal ultrasound, but had a lot of trouble visualizing the uterus and the baby. It was funny, the nurse was all "this'll be easy, you're so tiny, we should be able to see right in."
But first she couldn't find the uterus, mine is apparently off to the very far right, next to my bladder. Which was full and compounding the problem. So she told me to go pee.
I did.
We tried again. No such luck. Kind of disheartening, really.
But then she said we'd have an easy shot if we just did it vaginally, so we did.
She popped the little tool in, didn't see much, so she pushed it further in and BAM!
I have a beautiful little uterus
and a .83cm baby!
She is 6 weeks and 5 days old
The yolk sac was visible and the heart was beating strong
I'm ecstatic just now
If anyone is interested, I have a picture :)
Lastly, for those so engrossed in my sex life, the baby was conceived on Feb 11/12. The night of the costume party where I dressed up as the Pink Panther. *beams*
