Thanksgiving's Over :(

Nov 26, 2004 22:34

I love Thanksgiving, because my mom overcooks and we have yummy left overs for the following days, and they're delish! So, all I've been doing these past few days is exactly what its called... A holiday... so I am relaxing, and that means skipping out on optional soccer practice today. I always feel guilty when I don't go, and believe me, I'll be paying for it when we have fitness monday and I'm puking! But I guess the break is nice while it lasts... But I absolutely want to quit, but I am not a quitter, so I can't... And the whole parental factor. They wouldn't let me anyway. But this year, has been one of the hardest so far. I never believed people when they told me after knee surgery that it isn't the same. But I just struggle so much every practice. It's pure torture now to play, because it isn't natural ability anymore. I used to LOVE soccer, and look forward to it, but now its a burden and at school, I dread when the bell rings, which I never used to do, becaue I have soccer after school. It really bites. I used to be a top dog on my team, but now I'm the slowest, and I have to try sooooo hard to be any good which most of the time I am not no matter how hard it is. I definetly lost my skill while I was out. Its a shame, but I guess that's how it goes. So, that is what I am dreading about going back to school.
But today was fun, I got to sleep in REALLLLLY late, which I NEVER DO! It was amazing, but I still consider sleeping "a waste of your day" but it is enjoyable! Then I just relaxed around the house a little, and went to a movie with my *fam*, and the movie was AWESOME!!! We went to go see National Treasure, and it was great!
Yesterday was quite fun also, my fam celebrated Thanksgiving with AMAZING food! It was fun, and fufilling! And then we kind of relaxed, and played a family game, which is always interesting in my family. We are quiet the roudy bunch, and there is no such thing as a peaceful fun game, it is more like a SCREAMING COMPETATIVE game... We are all very competative, and these "family games" usually end in fights. But it is always amausing! Then after the game, Kate came back into town from her Grandparents farm, and we made a bonfire. IT WAS AWESOME! We got our flashlight, matches, and of course Lighting Fluid!!!!!!! And headed two lots over to "borrow" some lumber from the house being built. BUT OF COURSE.... it was the stuff in the big dumpster out by the side of the house (we would NEVER go and take stuff from in the house) and then hauled it all back over to our property, and torched that lumber and put it up in flames! It was awesome! Me and Kate are definetly piros!!! It is awesome! But unfortunately, Kate had to get up extremely early at like 5:45 to go to her dorm and make it back to the mall by 7am and work a 12 hour shift, at Cinnabon, on the BUSIEST day all year. So I woke up and forced Katie up and she went on her way, and I went back to bed for a couple of hours. My own parentals decided this would be a great idea to get up at 5 and start Christmas shopping! My mom is the cheapest person ever, so they spent yesterday night looking through ads, and finding the best bargains!
And now, I am home and am excited about everyone coming back to town tomorrow! Yay! I am also excited about Seth coming home. He has been gone for a long time, and it'll be fun catching up! :) He either comes back tomorrow or Sunday. Well that is all for now. Have a great rest of the break! KBYE-
