IBS is called me today, wants a call back, so I left a message... ugh. Anyway:: I'm waiting for them to offer me a job, just because, no particular reason... AND ACSI offered me a job on Friday! I had the full intention of getting back to them with a YES that afternoon. At least, that was until IBS called for another interview. ACSI knows I just need a few more days. I hope I can get back to them tomorrow. I feel like I'm playing games with both organizations. :)
Um, and yet, I know that they're messing with me too. Because Tom, a designer at ACSI, happens to be MARRIED to Kate, at IBS. Hm. Oh yeah, and they're very good friends/neighbors/college-buddies with an assistant manager at my Starbucks! That made a few interviews a little bit more awkward, but it really wasn't too bad. Just more networking, I suppose.
I did feel very comfortable at ACSI and have heard such great things about working there... that I think I'll accept that position! So: I'll have a real life graphic design job, with a paycheck and a nice flat screen computer and everything! YAY!
+Meanwhile, I spent the afternoon at the hospital: grandma's having surgery.
+Katie Ditton's wedding in Denver a few weeks ago was ADORABLE! it was so fun to see lots of Drake kids & the setting and dinner and all were just perfectly suited to the celebrate the happy couple :)
+tonight I'm headed to Denver for an AIGA volunteer meeting, and then tomorrow again for the AIGA Holiday Poster Auction. I hear Milton Glaser donated a poster and that this is one of AIGA CO's most successful events. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
+I think I have a caffeine headache today. Too many free Starbucks drinks lately, the lack of them today (a day off) hurts.
