States.
Me, Matt and Ronak left Thursday morning at like 9:45 after we waited around for over an hour for Coach Carlin. Then we all went up with Carlin and Symonds drove by himself which made me feel bad cause he had originally planned for me to ride up with him, but i wanted to be with the guys because i figured it would be less awkward, which i dunno if that was actually true, but whatever... the point is i went up with Ronak and Matt in Carlins car. We watched DVD's in the car on the way up which was fun and then when we got to Shippensburg the coaches took us out to lunch. Thursday afternoon slash night we checked into the dorm and met Ronaks roomate Andrew, i didnt have a roomate, practiced (me at jav and Ronak and Matt on the track) and then went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant that Carlin knew. And then when we came back we played cards and frisbee with Jordan from Wissahickon, who Ronak knew from before and Andrew.
Friday i threw at 12:30 and did pretty well. I didnt make finals (top 9) but then again i didnt expect to. I was seeded 21 out of 22 and ending up finishing 19 so that was nice cause i moved up. My best out of my 3 throws was a 102 which isnt that great for me, and then my next two throws were 101 and then 91. So thats good that i had two throws over 100. Katie and her mom came to watch me and Ronak on Friday which was a nice surprise. And then Jon and Kriston came too so we had some fans. Oh yeah... and the girl that won javelin was huuuuuge and threw a 147. So me, Matt and Ronak decided that i need to gain like 100lbs and then i will be able to throw further and win states. Haha. Friday night we went out to dinner again at the same place, and Mr. Symonds left to go to his sons graduation. Then we played frisbee again with Jon and Kriston, who decided to spend the night and share the single bed that was open since Mr. Symonds left. I kinda wanted to go to the dance that they had there since both me and ronak were done on Friday. But whatever it was still fun.
This morning we got breakfast and then all went down to watch the races. It wasnt that exciting and then it started to rain so i wasnt in a great mood. We watched until all the races were over and then went back to the dorms to get our stuff and headed home in Carlins car. Me and matt sat in the back seat and listened to a comedian that he had on Cd and that was really funny. Then we eventually got back to the school and i came home and slept cause i was so tired. And now i am updating my livejournal. Well that was states... overall it was fun and im definietly happy that i made it that far. Sadly though, this means track is over.
