Yes, I love my dentist, but I have got one hell of a persistent infection in my jaw. I'm down for a root filling mid-October - the soonest they could fit me in. In the meantime, I've just completed a week of antibiotics. One day after, and I'm in the dentist's waiting room, virtually crying to the receptionist for another prescription. She was so kind - said that it's perfectly normal that the first course doesn't clear the infection.

So I've got a week's more antibiotics to take. Big capsules. I'm dreadful at swallowing pills like that. Anybody got any tips for me?

I still love my dentist.
