Who gets a cold sore on Valentines Day? THIS GIRL. Damn my crappy immune system! So It's been mostly side kisses since then. Valentine's Day was so-so. Jeff got me moose pillow pets, a baby and a mama <3 I got Jeff a Scarface limited edition box set with a gangster money clip and some movie slide cards. We didn't go out and celebrate though which is fine, I guess. I'm just glad to have him as my boyfriend.
Last weekend Jeff and I drove to NYC to visit my mom at the Westminster Dog Show. Every year or so I try to go to the city to surprise my mom at the show which she loves. It was a fun day. After visiting with my mom for a bit and watching some Toy groups at the show, we wandered around the avenues. We were both craving NYC pizza so we got some slices at Rosa's which was a huge mistake. Worst NYC pizza, EVER which I didn't even think was possible. We also stopped inside the former Limelight night club which is now a clothing store which is sad because I spent many of my party kid days at Limelight. It's also sad that Limelight was once a beautiful church. The interior is still beautiful plus all the original stained glass windows are still there along with the cathedral ceilings. Oh, whatever, I'm ranting about a washed up former club. Where was I?
After our romp around Manhattan we went back to the show to meet up with Mom and Pam so we could all go to dinner. Somehow we wound up in Time Square where we were planning to go to the touristy MARS 2021 (alien themed) restaurant but when our taxi arrived we realized it was shut down so we walked a few blocks and went to Roxy Delicatessen for Jewish delicacies. My Matzoh ball soup was amazing and the corned beef sandwiches were huge but not as a huge (or as a good) as Harold's in Edison.
