Weekend wrap-up

Now that I've had a snooze and some tea and can sort of move my arms and legs again:

What an awesome weekend! William Marshal was such great fun! Lots of cool people, including a few from interstate that I haven't seen for a while and it was great to catch up. I'm sorry I didn't spend as much time as usual talking to some people (most of whom may be reading this), due to being "on duty". I'll make it up by annoying you more than usual at some other time :-)
Their Majesties were absolutely delightful throughout - spending two days "on duty" is a pleasure if you are helping people who are being unfailingly lovely. Being in the right place to hear all the great singing and music is good too :-)

I must say getting a Rowan was totally out of the left field. Graceful and courteous are not adjectives that I normally hear applied to me! (There isn't much room for that in my mundane job if you want to get things done) I was very, very touched and came close to bursting into tears in court, which would have been a rather girly and embarrassing thing to do.

Should get a pressie for my mum for making the pies for the K&Q for lunch and helping me get stuff together (having arrived home at 12.30am after the feast, with a splitting migraine, there was no way I was going to get anything done by Sun morning!). Hmmm, what should I get her...?

But now the weekend is over, I'm dead tired and am not looking forward to work tomorrow. Bring on the Xmas break already!
