Craft fair

I just spent about 5 hours at the craft and quilt fair. Am completely exhausted (I think still being sick did not help my endurance levels). Fatigue aside, there were lots of pretty things to look at and a few pretty and useful things that I bought too.

One thing that annoys me at such fairs is the vendors who think it is an opportunity to rip off as many people as possible. For example, one stall that was selling Thread Heaven for $8, when I bought it not a week ago for just over $5 at a local embroidery shop and when there are ten other stalls that are selling it at the correct price. Nice try! Or the guy who claimed to have a "special" on craft ribbons at $1 a roll (same price in any Spotlight or Lincraft store). I wonder if the money they make from people who fall for it will make up for the money they'll lose because people spot the attempted rip-off and won't buy anything from them at all.

Think I need a lie-down now.
