On the Record
Last night i got the chance to go see the final dress rehearsal of a premier of a national tour!!! the show was called "On The Record". What it is, is pretty much a Disney musical review. SO COOL! and The setting is like they are in a recording studio. so its not like there was a synopsis to the show. i mean they indicated romantic relationships between the singings, but no story line so much about it. The engenue girl was AMAZING. her name is Ashley Brown and i believe she went to CCM. which is an incredibly hard school to get into. but, i would guess she is in her later 20's. ALSO EMILY SKINNER was in it! If you dont know who EMILY SKINNER is, she was Alice Ripleys twin in the origional SIDESHOW. Among other things....so that was pretty cool. But geez...that main girl was so frickin amazing. she had this gorgeous legit soprano voice...then came "Reflection" from Mulan, and she belted the SHIT out of it and was CRAZY GOOD!!! i cant even explain.
it was a really coll show/review thing because you knew the majority of the songs! i would suggest it to anyone. :)
