I sometimes question the integrity and intelligence of some of the students and professors at this university.
first of all, my Shakespeare in Film professor really has no business being a professor. he repeats himself constantly, does not give any new interpretations to work but only regurgitates what he has read and thinks of himself as a genius. he does not listen to what students have to say in his classes and when someone actually does make a poignant remark, he just sits there dumbfounded, or he'll cut the person off before they are finished speaking. it's one thing if it's a giant lecture hall class that everyone needs to take. but when you go into upper level classes that are supposed to cater to a person's interests, you can't cater to your own. it makes for a bad learning and work environment.
ok, and now for a class that most people need to take for general education: wildlife issues lab. now my ta is actually smart and funny in this class and he tries to make things as easy as possible for people to understand and actually generate an interest in the subject. but when you're a moronic student who cannot complete work on time or come to a class that is only scheduled once a week and is held at 3 pm, then you have no right to bitch about your grade or say the class is hard. yes, if you don't understand the material, then the class can be hard. but when your actual TA is trying his best to boost your grade and telling you that he will change it if you email him, then shut the fuck up and listen. stop bitching about it and actually hear what he is telling you. if he says you can redo an assignment, then email him and tell him you'll redo it. study for the final and that's that. I mean, it's wildlife issues. there is wildlife and they have issues. what more do you need to understand? there are websites on the internet that can help you do the assignments. just type into a search engine: wildlife issues or endangered species.
I feel like the movie Idiocracy is becoming more of a reality for the future, because common sense seems to be fading in the gene pool.
