Sooo... today I took a 'dry run' to Brooklyn with my dad. I wanted to make sure I was familiar with the bus and the subway, and the location of the museum, and how long it took to get there... etc.
It was really no trouble. But the commute looks to be about an hour and a half. (Well, shorter if I get the express bus rather than the local.) But it is not a bad commute. I like public transportation.
My dad and I got there as the museum was opening. I was psyched to see the Pulp Art exhibit they are running right now. It was awesome!! It had all of these paintings from the covers of all of those dime-store books an magazines. So cool! I was disappointed that they did not sell posters of any of the paintings. My dad and I were set on buying one. They didn't even have any postcards of the pulp art. Oh well! I think it's because the exhibit is about to close--there's not much of the souvenirs left!
I am looking forward to my interview! I am excited to wear my adorable suit. Since the interview is in the afternoon, I won't have to rush around like a madwoman to get ready!
I worked more on my Mystique costume. I got out my sewing machine and fashioned the skirt. I think it's going to be an awesome costume. I hope the boots show up soon.
As lame as it sounds I really hope the new job doesn't ruin my Halloween plans after all this work. I mean, I want the job and everything... but hopefully I won't be working on Fridays!
