It took a distance of over 8000 miles to realize that I'm never getting over you.

When you fall in love with someone, you never stop. You just learn to live without them.

I never gave this a second thought, because I didn't think it was true. But now, it describes how I feel about you perfectly. 8000 miles away, you still successfully broke my heart. I'm not going to lie and say that my emotions are justified. I AM being a baby about this. I know a lot of the time, I need to just suck it up and move on. But I can't help the way you make me feel.

One of the things that I regret most was telling you that you were the only one who made me sad all the time. The image of you crying is permanently ingrained in my mind. It is something that I will always be ashamed of, something that I wish never happened. But I think the saddest part of it all, is that it's a statement that was far from a lie. Of all of my friends, you ARE the only one who makes me this sad. Even now, hundreds of miles away, and not seeing you for almost a month now, you STILL have the power to break my heart.

I don't want to do anything drastic. I know I'm melodramatic. I'm trying to decide whether or not it's a smart decision to cut off all ties with you. Believe me, it's the last thing I want to do. But I truly believe that this is the only way that I will EVER be free from you.

For the past three years, my home was with you. Home was when I was alone with you. This is the biggest change I've ever had to go through, and you know I don't do well with change. But I'm being given a fresh start, and I can't waste it.

Would you care if I never spoke to you again? For long?

It breaks my heart to say that I think it's the only way that I can be happy again. I love you so much. But I need to learn to live without you...
