If my trip to Rome could be summed up in a list form

Thursday:
-Found hostel at 10:30pm , front room serves as check-in/laundromat/internet cafe. They didn't realize that Elliot and I were traveling together so they upgraded us into a private suite fo free.
-Had the best zucchini pizza of my life. And a tiny orange. It was way too cheap.
Friday:
-Wake up at 6
-Walked around with a dopey smile all day
-Delicious cappuccino/donut breakfast
-Walked to Trevi Fountain on the way to Vatican City
-It starts to sink in that neither I nor Elliot know any Italian.
-BASCILLICA
-very empty St. Peter's Square
-Vatican Museum is incredible
-I want a roof-top garden
-SISTINE CHAPEL
-Ravioli's stuffed with pesto and the best tiramisu ever.
-Spanish steps
-Gelato on the Spanish steps
-Church atop Spanish steps was amazing, with nuns praying all in white
-Keats museum---so many books!
-Gnocchi, wine, conoli
-Bed
Saturday:
-wake up at 7
-Santa Maria de Popplo (nothing compares to the Basilica)
-Book market: One of the stalls was like a mobile junk store and the man was selling communist and nazi paraphernalia for real. We were supposed to haggle I bet but he only spoke French and Italian. Elliot knows a little bit of Spanish.
-Pantheon. Wow.
-Then I actually had the best cappuccino of my life.
-Climbed the steps of this enormous beautiful building, look to my right, and oh hey Colosseum.
-On our way to the Forum we see a bunch of police blocking off a street dressed in full riot gear.
-The ancient city/forum/what have you. Incredible.
-We hear a bunch of flash bombs go off in that street we walked by and cannot make out what the protesters are shouting
-Wow. Colosseum.
-Spaghetti.
-Even better gelato
-Get lost in train station.
-Arrive too early at airport. Ryanair doesn't have anyone manning the check-in desk until about an hour before my flight is scheduled to leave. There was a cat in the waiting area.
-Flying over Paris and London at night was so cool.
