Yes, the Republicans sent the package of amendments back to the House again yesterday, but it's expected to pass quickly.

Attended a double baby shower last Saturday, and spent much of the time being totally adored by a small green parrot! (I was told the bird was a mustache parrot, but in googling for a picture, I think she looked more like a green-rumped parrotlet.)
She was so completely sweet! She hopped onto my shoulder and stayed there for a good 45 minutes at least, chattering right in my ear. When I laughed, she would laugh along with me. She would nuzzle up to my cheek, or under my ear, every minute or so, giving my ear little love-nibbles. I could not get her to leave my shoulder, no matter how I tried!
I'm totally smitten. Now, when I am older and have a job that can give me sufficient monies, I am so getting one of these birds. (I'm not sure how well this will work, given that I know I must own at least one cat.)
