The Discussion
The big focus this episode was Nadia. Her past interfering with her present. I'm pretty sure that this is the first time we've seen more in-depth scenes from her past, and what interesting, juicy scenes they are! Stuff from her days in a Buenos Aires orphanage, and her interactions with one Cesar Martinez.
Nadia apparently ran away from the orphanage in her teens, and passed her days on the streets. That's when she got involved with Cesar. But things were a little muddled: she joined some sort of intelligence agency, and got involved with a guy named Roberto. Then he betrayed her and her partner on a mission: he turned out to be a corrupted dude. Poor Nadia: very parallel to Sydney's situation with SD6.
Boy, Nadia has some sort of past. Very many skeletons in her closet. I'm intrigued.
On a side note, Vaughn is decoding stuff from his (deceased) father's journal. Very odd.
Jack was not featured in this episode. *tears*
And as a final note, I finish with a quote from my favorite character.
"My father used to encrypt my crossword puzzles as a kid. The least of my family dysfunctions."
~Sydney Bristow
Tell me that's not brilliant. I dare you.
