This is hilarious. We were discussing the historical significance of the stories of the Bible and where they came from, who created what, who borrowed what from who, etc. and Manny's old roommate busts out with, what did Abraham have to do for God. I'm not going into bible stories, so if you don't know what it's about, you won't get it at all, but the class was not supposed to be about the Bible and interpretting it. Now the Professors up there trying to discuss the different stories of the covenant of Abraham and God, which is amusing because Angel is obviously religious and knows the bible, where as the professor only seems to know the bible through historical references. So their arguement just keeps going, he had to circumsize the males. Well, what were the terms of the covenant. He had to circumsize himself. Yes, but what were the terms of the covenant. Well, it's later in the bible, but circumsicion is the only one really. Well it says here, Abraham agreed to the terms of the covenant, what were they. It's absolutely amusing. Considering he didn't want to spend time on this, and now it's been talked about for over an hour. And it all goes back to him saying, you can not verify this, it all goes back to faith, but I'm not trying to say anyone's religion is wrong. Though it does seem to me that saying there is no known existence of this stuff, it IS saying religion is wrong, but then again, I do agree with his point of view over that of the bible's. Sorry, but there are WAY to many inconsistencies in the bible. It just doesn't follow it's own story. Bad God!
Anyways, other than this summer class, I'm not doing much. I have another online class, but that one's not really tough or anything. I'm staying in Holliston with Jamie for the summer, and that's pretty fun. But I'm pretty sure that his house is haunted and it's really kind of creepy. I will explain since most people don't believe in ghosts, and I'm not quite sure I do, but there's definately something going on there. The other day I set my sleep timer on my tv. I left it on the Disney channel, and eventually it just shut off. Then, two days ago, Jamie and I were talking in my room, and I noticed my tv was turned on. Jamie said I turned it on, so I figured I did, and forgot. However, it was on Channel 1. Which is not a real channel, at least on my tv, it's just static. I thought that was odd, because if I had turned it on, it would've been on channel 24, since that's what it was shut off on. Also, you can not get to Channel 1 unless you specifically hit the 1 button. If you just scroll through the channels, it skips right over it. But I just ignored it, figured I had not been paying attention. Later that night, Jamie and I are watching Walk the Line on DVD on my tv. Around 11:50, the tv switches over to Channel 1. In the middle of the movie. At first I thought it was just the sleep timer, then I remembered that even if it was, it would have shut off, and the sleep timer was set for 2:30, so it definately wasn't that. So creepy, but whatever, Jamie and I both ignored it. After I shut the tv off, I put the remotes on the table beside my bed. On the BOTTOM shelf. With the tv remote turned upside down on top of the DVD remote, so you can't get to the buttons unless you pick it up and move it. It's also under another shelf, so it's impossible to accidentally lean on it. So last night, I go into my room, put my stuff down, and go talk to Jamie while he's brushing his teeth. I go back into my room, it's around 11:50ish, and the TV is on, on Channel 1. When I shut it off the night before, it was on channel 25. The remote, was in the exact same place I left it. Turned upside, on the lower shelf of the bedside table. I did not touch that tv at all when I got back from work. I literally walked into my room, put my pocketbook on the bed, and walked out. Somehow, the tv keeps turning on to Channel 1. First two times, I found excuses. This time though, I have NO idea how it got on. I can not think of any explanation. Jamie and I were the only two there, and we were in a different room. The remote was not moved or touched. So, therefore, I have to believe that there is some sort of ghostly thing running around the house, and why it needs my tv or channel 1 is beyond me, but it's definatley a little creepy. After that, I made Jamie let me sleep on the couch in his bedroom because I was WICKED creeped out. If I go home today and that tv is on, I think I'll move out. But at the same time, I really want to know what's going on, and what the significance of channel 1 is. So I'm half creeped out, half fascinated by this. I can't decide which half is more...powerful? Meaning, I don't know if I'm more creeped out or fascinated by it. But either way, it's definately strange! Jamie swears his house is haunted anyways, because apparently he and his mother have had creepy experiences involving a clock that now resides in their basement. I have to say, that's a very good place for it. Not to mention, the other day I was driving down the street in Ashland, and I looked at a tree, and for less than a second, I could SWEAR, there was a person HANGING. But I blinked and jumped, and I looked again, and there were just trees. So I don't know. Maybe I'm seeing things. Or MAYBE, the world really is coming to an end tomorrow, and we SHOULD heed the omen. If that is the case, oh well, it's been fun, I'll see you in hell. ;)
Other than that though, there's nothing really exciting going on. I don't like work, I wish school was over, that's about it.
