A second attempt to register for classes failed - what will the third bring??
Dear Students,
As many of you likely know by now, the central campus Registrar’s assurances that they had fixed the registration computer problems were incorrect. Most regrettably, this morning’s registration experienced many serious problems. Many students were completely or partially shut out, others were inappropriately placed on waitlists of open classes, etc. Once again, we are waiting for the central campus Registrar to investigate and inform us of the scope and causes of the problem. Preliminary indications, however, are that the problems were even more widespread today than during the first registration attempt.
There aren’t enough words in the English language to express how sorry we are and how much we regret all of the disruption the central campus computer problems have caused you. We are so very sorry. We do not yet know how we will fix this problem. However, rest assured that we will not ask you to do anything further until after exams are over.
Again, my most sincere apologies for all of the distress and disruption you have experienced. We will keep you informed.
