I finally bought the tv converter box to ameliorate the rapidly declining technology situation in the house. Now we can see all the major networks again, plus 3 weather radar stations (umm, thanks?) and 3 PBS stations. I'm truly excited to have PBS back-it's the best thing on usually. And 30 Rock, which I can apparently watch non-stop for hours, thanks to Netflix's Watch Instantly feature. If only I still got the DC Art Channel for my ballerina fix. Oh well, I'm not paying for cable, can't have everything.
Sat through a day of Monitoring and Evaluation training yesterday. I can now tell you the difference between goals, objectives, activities, outcomes, outputs, and impacts (but I won't, I like you).
Winter's going to slip away and I won't have done the things I really mean to do every time: rent a winter cabin, try skiing, etc. This Saturday my boss has invited me to join him at the US Cross Country Championships, which I do want to do, but I'd also love to get the hell out of here (what else is new?). Next weekend, maybe head up to Heartburn in Philly...not 100% sure about that one yet-I love love love the roadtrip with friends, even more than the party, but it's kind of exhausting!
Pretty sure whatever I did to my shoulder was a nerve thing instead of a muscle thing due to sensations of ice water spilling down my shoulder blade every once in awhile. It's better, but I don't want to do it again. Now that I have my new insurance (yay!) I gotta get a decent doctor, check out the thyroid and shoulder, and get a massage. Not necessarily in that order.
