Pictures!
This is not from the photo meme that I just put up (which you should go comment at!), since it's too soon. But I DID get a new camera for Hanukkah and I've been taking more pictures with it. Here are an assorted bunch I want to share. I'm REALLY proud of how these came out. Especially since I have discovered the macro setting on my camera, and it is GLORIOUS!
It's time for pictures of my KITTIES!
This is Ella sleeping on the couch! Our couch is dark brown suede and Ella is black, so she's hard to see. But so cute!
The macro setting in action! This is the first time I've ever managed to get a close-up of Ella, and is my favourite picture of her ever. I had to blur out info on her tag, though. Not that I don't trust you, I just don't want my phone number and town floating around flickr for anyone to find.
Another close-up, this one of a sleeping Kit. She's my baby, though I'm currently angry with her at the moment.
I have been trying for ages to get a picture which properly catches Kit's beautiful eyes. And I have finally done it... TWICE! This is the first of two images. Aren't her eyes gorgeous?
And this is the second. Seriously, I just love her eyes. And that adorable little pink nose!
Mmmm. This is the dough for the cookies I have nicknamed "Squirrel Food". They are cookies with peanut butter, chocolate chips, cinnamon and roasted peanuts. Delicious!
"Squirrel Food" cookies, hot out of the oven! I got these amazing red silicone cookie-sheet mats for Christmas. They are AMAZING, the cookies come right off of them, it's excellent.
And an artistic macro shot of the cookies, broken in half. YUM.
This is the dough for "White Chocolate Delights". They're the first recipe I ever came up with on my own, and are basically white chocolate macadamia cookies. It's really not that hard of a recipe to come up with, but I was proud of myself. Heh.
"White Chocolate Delights" all baked and stacked into one of my containers. They... didn't last long.
And an artsy close-up of my "White Chocolate Delights". I'm thinking of posting the recipe here, by the way, I haven't decided.

This is the surface of a table at a Chinese restaurant near where I live. I just liked how it looked... and I was experimenting with my camera, heh.
Another picture of my Mom's Menorah. This was taken on Christmas Eve.
This is the shot with which I first discovered the joys of the macro setting on my camera! It's an ornament on my tree that used to belong to my Grandmother.
The next four shots, including this one, were taken through the sun roof of my car when I was early to work one day. Pretty tree and blue sky!
Another trees + sky shot, this one of the line of trees over the garbage dumpster.
Just the sky! Pretty.
My favorite from the set I took outside work. I just love this tree! (It's the same tree as in the first picture of the set, but this is the lower half).
And finally, this is a picture of the berries on a tree that was near the drive-through of the local Taco Bell. Hah!
