My Grandpa is back in the hospital as of yesterday. Fortunately not for life threatening reasons, which kind of calms me down, but I'm still real worried. Last night I did something I haven't done in a while, and simply sat down and prayed for the guy. I know he'll get through this one, he's the strongest person I know. I'm pullin for you, Grandpa.
Flint turned out to be a success. After we got lost for about two hours (they have a fifth street and fifth avenue, but they are both just labeled "fifth", which is crap), and after the overwhelming amount of Halo Burgers distracting our initial goal, we eventually came across the infamous Riverside Park (as seen in the Daykare Video, as well as others). We scoped it out, and eventually stumbled upon the young gentlemen that we were supposed to meet up with two hours earlier. A big thanks to them for showing us the spots and skating it up with us. Highlights included Jamie's backside 180 over the freakin huge stair gap, Scott's front board on the handrail second try, and my very first boardslide on a handrail. I also got a kickflip on the smaller freakin huge stair gap which I believe might be on film. "Owned with a P!"
I strongly urge all of you to get up and get outside at some point today (as long as it is after the Wings game, of course). It hasn't been this nice in quite some time, and I think all of us can use a dose of warm weather amd sun.
