being ripped off
if i've talked to you on AIM, you've probably heard about this. but i just had to share it all to the world.
i got ripped off.
you know i'm on the roosevelt newspaper staff? the Roosevelt News. hmm? yeah the one with dorky covers. ;-) heh. but did you know that the janurary issue, the one with the eight-ball on the cover? that was mine! my eight-ball, lol. i feel special.
anyway.
last year i was the only sophomore on staff. this year i'm the only junior section editor on staff. therefore, i really wanted to be editor-in-chief, and i thought that i would make a really good EIC.
well.
i did not make it. here comes the ripped-off part.
those who did make it were Chase and Winston. you all know them. they're uberpopular peeps that everybody either loves or despites. chase has been on staff for one year, since fall. and winston. he got in THIS FRIGGING SEMESTER! (whoo, used my mediocre html skills there!)
yup you read it right. he has only a half year experience. winston got picked cuz of his personality, that's all. they (the selection committee) did not take experience in account.
methinks that they're afraid of having a deaf person as head of the newspaper, even tho he had the most experience. i'll be the only person returning for third year next year for gods sake!
gordon, the present EIC, is a complete idiot. if you're not happy with the newspaper, please do write him a flaming letter to the editor. then i'll be happy.
but i'll be holding a grudge against him until he graduates.
