  • I'm reading It, and I really doubt I'll get any sleep tonight. Goddamn clowns. But, I mean, I can't stop reading it, so obviously Stephen King did something right. And it's amazing that his books are so dense. I'm on page 554, and I have the entire life stories of all six main characters, plus the entire history of the town the book's set in ( Read more... )

I never understood tennis until I played Mario Tennis. That game rocks.

I played that once or twice, but sort of blindly, button-mashing until something happened. I especially had trouble keeping track of whose serve it was.

It makes sense after a few games. I kick ASS with Daisy in both the N64 and GameCube versions. I dare anyone to bring it. (Well, not really anyone.)

1. I really enjoyed The Stand. Then again, I was like 13 and forbidden to read it. See also: Anne Rice kick.
2. Motherfucking is a good word. But not cool when overused.
3. Cramps suck.
4. I mostly watch the US Open. I like to watch, but I, as well, only have the most base understanding of the sport.
5. I apparently am not loved by National Merit. Or my parents wanted to ruin my life by not giving me that letter. Either way.
6. I might get to tutor, too!
7. I agree. Totally.

I'm dumb. Delete my other comment. As well, do you own High Fidelity?

The Stand is great, but it's also pre-rehab. And I realized today: the whole New Orleans thing, how when the water recedes they're going to have to trudge into houses full of dead bloated decaying bodies? Exactly like The Stand. Rebuilding a city. Rebuilding civilization.

Aaagggh, I have another tutoring offer. A sixth grade girl with math problems. And her mom wants me for two hours a week, too. I'm not sure I can handle this but I guess I'll see.

Yeah, I own it, both the book and the movie. You wanna borrow?

Yeah, I knew it was pre-that. I just randomly commented. :P

I'm moreso counseling this kid. He has a 98 average, I'm just like... convincing him he's okay, basically.

The book, yes please.

I miss the two of you, but somehow Stephen King wrote Dreamcatcher (it's like a sequel to it) and it totally rocks. I bought it on a trip to Rome like three years ago thinking it would be crap because everything from Cujo on is basically crap, and lo and behold the book was solid and scary. So yes, Stephen King mostly sucks, but Dreamcatcher is good, and it takes place in Derry, and It returns.

Noah

and tennis kind of sucks

I know you miss me--I miss you too--but do you miss me chainsmoking?

I miss the expression Jenna makes when she inhales: sort of a red-cheeked, rosebud-mouthed hiccup face. It's fantastic.

I heard Dreamcatcher was shit. Are you serious? It's actually okay?

yeah, tennis is pretty boring, but not as boring as football
