It was on the first blush of the sunrise that I had received request from Monsiuer de Tréville for my presence alone in his hotel. Oh very nice! I really, really like the way you've shown de Tréville, as one who can, so briefly and concisely, play the heart-strings of even a man of such depth and dignity as Athos.

Beautiful writing!

Even though Tréville had a small role in comparison to the others, I felt he really came across as a strong character and someone Athos would even though he'd probably would love to deck him at times silently look up to, especially as a fresh from the oven Musketeer. :D

He had a small role compared others, yes, but his actions and their effects affected the musketeers, and even the king and the cardinal (as per the book, at least) in very many ways. haha oh yes! And yes, I totally agree. And I also believe it's time for me to re-read the book again, for the 30-odd time >.>
