I'm considering picking up another muse. I'm constantly taunted about where my writing limits lie so my brain IM'd Dr. Hannibal Lecter below is a mediocre taste (screen test) of a mock-post.
Ditto on that! I own both movies and normally watch them together. ;) My pup insists that he's not balding in the future, though. LOL. Besides the beginning, I was very impressed with Malkovich's performance .. especially when he got into the cynical attitude. I kinda stuck with Kiefer as the PB because I got a soft spot for the actor and writing Athos in the future would make my brain explode with him dealing with Raoul's death (the poor guy basically died of heartbreak in the book).
Jeremy Irons was the perfect Aramis (and his voice is so GUH, yes!). I look between Sheen and Irons and they look like they can pass for a younger and older version.
Would you mind if I friend? I am such a sucker for these boys!
I enjoyed his character out of everyone in the else in that movie. Irons definitely carried it. The moments between him and Porthos made the entire thing worthwhile.
Friended! I'm so sorry for squealing like this. I just get all giddy everytime I meet other Musketeer fans. :D
I got goosebumps from that rush. In fact, the song that plays during that scene is one of my favorite songs I use when I write Athos' prompts.
Sadly, I never got to see the original film. :( I want to, though, BADLY, especially since it kept so true to the book. Didn't Oliver Reed play Athos and not Porthos?
He's great.
Give Lector a try without dropping anyone. You may find he's a bit much or you don't really enjoy him. Though, mercy, you do have his voice down.

I love you guys' musketeers! But I love the old, grizzled boys, too, and Jeremy Irons is the voice of GOD!

Christine was one of the ten worst actresses ever, though. Lordy...sad.
But the old musteteers were wonderful. I loved the rush at the end. Lovely.
I loved the original film with Michael York. Oliver Reed was a brilliant Porthos.

Raquel Welch and Faye Dunaway were delicious in it. Welch was silly and Faye was so gorgeously evil.
