oh man. robert & lauren's contemporary number tonight, by dee caspary to "that home" by cinematic orchestra? so lovely. it was just quiet and beautiful and utter perfection. to be honest, i've watched it at least five times by now. there was just this... natural, organic feel to it. it's kind of the most calming, refreshing thing ever. there are these four beats, closer to the beginning, after robert pulls her up by her ankle? that just... took my breath away. it's lovely when there's something that just lets you breathe with it. that's what it was like - like breathing. so basically what i'm saying people, is that i love all of the top 3 (but especially robert and lauren, tonight) and i don't really know who i want to win. well, who am i kidding? i want lauren to win. her solo tonight? glorious. her vegas solo? glorious. her entire season has been glorious. i can't think of one bad routine. (speaking of solos, robert's was to the district sleeps alone tonight, by the postal service, which i've been wanting someone to dance to since forever. also, they used florence + the machine's dog days are over, which i *love*. and i know, i'm kind of lacking the kent love, but none of his routines tonight really stuck out for me. i do love both routines with neil, the prom number, and the one with adéchiké. i think he drew the short stick this night for routines, but thankfully there are a bagillion teenage girls completely enamoured with him.
but the main reason for posting? was to tell you people to watch robert & lauren's routine. SRSLY, IT'S SO GOOD. good enough that i'm posting from my ipod to do it. SO WATCH.
ETA: i totally forgot about kent's mindblowing broken relationship routine, choreographed by... stacy tookey? that was so, so good. his emotions? perfection. it was really really honest, and beautifully danced. i just can't believe i forgot about it. WATCH THAT ONE TOO..
