Lying in the paddock

May 12, 2007 15:14

No one else
Just natures noise
No laughing out
Just those silent boys

Here we are
No one else
We are all alone by ourselves
We rest and sit
Take it all in
Scattered across the hill and far within

It’s time to stop playing pool
It’s time to stop playing ping pong
As I look into the sun
I’ll tilt my head towards the sky
With no else but ourselves
I am lying in the paddock

Isn’t it just beautiful to read and write?
Sit alone but not all night
Discuss those things that trouble us
Sit and talk around the table
Be yourself and laugh around
And murmur without a sound

It’s time to stop playing pool
It’s time to stop playing ping pong
As I look into the sun
I’ll tilt my head towards the sky
With no else but ourselves
I am lying in the paddock

With gliders and choppers along line
The fresh taste of country air
The look beyond my image
I’ve come to realise
My life is changing
I’m here on my own

I’m here
I’m here
I’m here

With the suns rays and contrails in the air
People scattered far and everywhere
The look on everyone’s face
Has become their own spirit
But what I’ve learnt
The heart has no limit

Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
