Atonement kinda-angst
I can't remember if I watched the movie "Atonement" first or read the book (senior year in High School). I think the movie came first, probably becasue I didn't know we were gonna read it for class. Anyway. I don't think it's a huge fandom but there are certainly WAY more youtube video for it then for a while of a lot of other things (like Brideshead for one...). They're all Robbie/Cecile of course.
Ok. I don't like Cecile. I think she's a bitch. Kinda in that Scarlett O'Hara way with some tweaking to account for difference in time period. Yea. And I REALLY don't like Robbie. I dislike him even more than I dislike Cecile. Seriously, I think he's a jerk.
This isn't a Briony defense. I don't think anyone is gonna stand up and say that she was right in what she did. I'm not gonna go into a whole discussion of her here as this could get long. Although, I have to say that despite her not being my favorite character ever or whatnot, I certainly sympathies with her most of all.
But Briony aside. I just don't like either Cecile or Robbie. And I don't feel sorry for them. (Which is harsh, but I was totally like "whatever" at the end of it all.)
