OMG I FEEL SO ACCOMPLISHED!
OMG you guys! I finished my het_bigbang fic! On. Timw.
Let me tell you all why this is awesome.
-This thing is ~30k long. I don't remember the last time I wrote a story that long and actually finished it. Maybe never. Most of my long fics that could be/are multichaptered are stuck in WIP status. I mean, I haven't even finished a NaNo in the last two-three years despite how terrible my writing is in those. This one is actually postable and possibly even not too bad :)
-This is for a HET bigbang. Which means that the story revolves largely around het couples (though it's not all exclusively mushy romance of course). Which, for a slasher/gen-er like me is a double accomplishment!
-Just think about this. 30k. 64 pages (in Word). Given the word count this qualifies for a novella! That. Is. Awesome. (Especially given that my wonderful artist has created wonderful cover art for me toooo!)
-I know it's my fault that I procrastinate but who doesn't? This sort of means that I was writing a LOT of this during my move to the new apartment. Lets just say it hasn't been an easy move and the issues are still far from over. ALSO my Microsoft Word began freaking out on me on Friday. For some reason, the text there looks kinda fuzzy now and I'm not sure what's causing it. (This bug or w/e it is seems to only be effecting the microsoft office package, all other programs are fine.) IT REALLY BUGS ME. (And I think it may give me headaches if I read it for too long.)
So, anyways, I'm just reeeeaaally happy :D
