Each for their own reason, each due to pain inflicted on them by outside forces...but really they need no excuse to believe as they do. They believe because they are good people working for what they believe in. Period.

Regulus and Severus in particular broke my heart.

It's true, they do fight for what they believe in. Barty and Sev go out of bitterness, Regulus is somewhere in the middle there, Anatole is sort of striving for recognition but he doesn't have quite the burden the other three do. Evan is a good example of someone who doesn't have anything wrong with their homelife or anything but still believes in the same ideals. He's an outside observer in a way but Sev's example is enough to make him believe. I think the idea behind this was that people can believe in the same thing for different reasons and under different circumstances. Thanks for reading :)
