Ah, poor Evan. How I feel for him. And for Severus, too. Somehow in my world the entire story of not just the trio, but of the Potters, just doesn't count. Sev is a double agent for his old friends. But your world is much more canon and filled with much more tragedy and heart-rent sorrow as a result.

I think part of what lures me to these boys and their story is the tragedy of it. I don't like thinking of Sev or Reg as traitors and AUs are great, but I, personally, can't get too far away from canon for too long. On creating my personal headcanon for these boys, Reg and Sev were always the hardest to deal with. It's a stimulating creative challenge to find justifications for them. Sev is easier actually, since there was always Lily. I know you don't like Sev/Lily but I do so... lol.
