I'm picky about smut - in fact usually I don't care. But this fic, while technically a PWP, is wonderful in allowing Harvey's and Scottie's personalities to shine through the entire thing. It's a (sexy) portrait of how they (dys)function. Oh, yea, and the smut is excellent, by which I mean very hot :)

This is a beautiful AU, one of those "what if Mike was kicked out of the firm" types. The characters are great, the stroyline feels very realistic. This is such a vivid and realistic tale of how things could have gone. The OCs are great and organic. And, of course, the relationship that blossoms between Harvey and Mike after they reconnect is satisfying and sweet and very them. I love the style of the writing and the emotional punches this fic manages to pull in the most elegant of ways.

What I love about this fic the most is the lovely characterization of Harvey and how it fleshes out Trevor as a character and shares some scenes from his friendship with Mike. The interplay between Harvey and Trevor is compelling and true to character.
Secondhand Smoke by matchsticks_p (Trevor Evans, MIke Ross, Harvey Specter)
This is a lovely little fic that explores the better side of Trevor. I love the fics that show why Trevor and Mike were friends and why they were so close. This one does it in a a few very poignant snapshots.
