BTW, the title translates to like "Notung, Notung, sowrd of my need" according to the author's translation. If you think that sounds raunchy, considering the pairing, I totally feel you. I know this fic has been edited and reposted elsewhere, but this is the version I read. The character voices are wonderfully distinct here. There is all this imagery and character insight between the moments of utterly sensual porn. There is so much constrained desperation in this fic, it's utterly heartbreaking.
Weaving by lainemontgomery (Jaime Lannister/Sansa Stark)
I've always said that all I want is for my bbs Sansa and Jaime to end up happy. If they're happy together that's even better. This is a bittersweet future!fic where Sansa is Queen in the North and Jaime has ended up at her side. It's not quite fluff and not quite angst - it's sweet and kind of romantic and I doubt these two could ask for better.
Forgotten the Taste of Reality by craple (Gerris Drinkwater/Quentyn Martell)\
This is short but utterly heartbreaking. Gerris mourns Quentyn's death. I loved Quentyn a hell of a lot and I ship these two pretty hard. So...this fic, while devastating, is a wonderful emotional payoff.
Brothers in Arms by a_la_grecque (Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister)
A bit of Tyrion introspection and him and Jaime being brothers. This has some absolutely adorable moments from their childhood. Tyrion's longing for Jaime and his friendship are very much appreciated. Cersei gets some cameos and her characterization is spot-on.
A Maiden for a maiden by Zazou (Quentyn Martell/Sansa Stark)
Basically, no one believes that someone as awkward as Quent could charm a lovely flower like Sansa. And they're wrong. It's AU and it's just the sweetest thing, especially for anyone who loves Quentyn as tenderly as I do.
Together We Can See What We Will Find by lit_chick08 (Quentyn Martell/Sansa Stark)
Another AU with this ship. Sansa and Quentyn's marriage is arranged. Then he comes to visit and...things develop. I love how thoughtful this fic is and how the author obviously appreciates all the things that someone like Quentyn and someone like Sansa WOULD have in common. How, even though he isn't quite as dashing as others, Quentyn does have that honorable streak that Sansa had always imagined her gallant prince would have. The development of their relationship is very believable.
Mummer's Farce by lainemontgomery (Jaime Lannister/Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister/Sansa Stark)
I think what I love about this little fic the most is the similarities and contrasts between Cersei and Sansa as seen through Jaime's eyes. And while the contrasts definitely win out, the bit of similarities makes the whole thing a lot more interesting.
Herd, Pride, Pack by lainemontgomery (Tommen Baratheon/Arya Stark)
Future!fic of sorts. Poor Tommen. If (when, I guess) the Lannisters go down, it's so awful that Tommen and Marcella will have to pay too, given that they are completely innocent and in no way at fault for the actions of their parents and other relatives. This is an interesting pairing and I like the bit of hope it springs, despite the obviously unfortunate setting/circumstances.
Snow by jadeandlilac (Jaime Lannister/Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister/Sansa Stark)
This fic is utterly gorgeous. It is a re-tilling of Snow White (obviously AU) with Sansa as Snow and Cersei as the Stepmother and Jaime as a while blend of characters. The parallels work wonderfully and the writing style is gorgeous, painting each scene in stark, vivid colors.
