Ewan/Hayden. One of those icons left over from my days in the Star Wars fandom. I never really shipped the RPS but I'm just somehow delighted by the idea of two actors who are supposedly straight sharing a kiss :D

In the scene Sabastian sees his mother coming back home after some time away and their relationship is kinda all messed up and Seb just knows that his glorious summer with Charles is inevitably over. Really, I just love the expression on his face -- it's perfect.

I really should make a better icon with that screencap becasue it totally looks like they're almost touching foreheads or something, even though that's not really how it went but, hah lol, whatever. I like my made up shippy world :D
Helene Kuragin from War and Peace. I think this was my first attempt at a gif icon... Violante Placido (the actress) is just gorgeous and I have a total girl crush on her. It's also there if I need a "girl" icon :)
Ohhh this one has a long story behind it. I was part of a team game a couple of years back in which team Order and team Death Eaters completed against each other. Works were made that featured the First War. The competition was between fics, art and vids but there were also propaganda materials made for each side which was not part of the competition. One of them (here) especially caught my attention. (It’s in Russian though.) The idea of the “letter” is this: a wizard gets a letter in the mail that talks about how the wizards could be free if they just realized the power they had and stopped listening to the Ministry with their Statute of Secrecy obsession. It talks about how dangerous the muggles can be and how they are infiltrating the wizarding world and controlling it through their children (muggleborns), taking all the best jobs etc. Talks about how wizards are scared of their magic when they should revel in it. Then it gives an address - a PO box - where to write if the wizard wants to realize how he can change the world for the better. The last paragraph I’ll translate: “We are not super-people, wise men or heirs of Merlin. We are wizards just like you. We’ve just stopped being afraid. When you stop too, come by. Now you know how to find us. Until then.” I made a poster as a sort of illustration to this propaganda brochure. The original was in Russian (though never posted) but I later translated it into English. And then made an icon out of it.
This was made for a set of Tony Dolohov icons I made at one point. The screencap is from DH, from that one episode where Tony and Rowle had trackked the trio down at the dinner. The idea if that well...Antonin's working, he's on a mission. Is Working in this case is like when you type *is working* (or *is____*) is IM or whatever.
