Go SeaHawks!

So far this has been a pretty bitchen weekend. Last night, I went bowling with a bunch of people from school. It was so much fun. I mean, I am a perfectly wretched bowler, but it really is more about getting out of the house on a friday night and relaxing with some friends. After a game of bowling. (The only strike I made was in the very last frame!) we watched this DDR adict doing some insane dance moves. He had these intricate moves worked out where he'd hit the arrows with his knees or slap them with his hands...we were all dumbfounded and stood there watching him for like 20 minutes. Finally, we decided we'd had enough of that disturbing display and migrated over to the bowling alley bar where they had karaoke going on. Oh my goodness... some of the people singing were so aweful! I felt sorry for the sad little guys that went up and sang depressing songs. As the night went on, people got drunker and picked up the pace a bit. My group sang "Living on a prayer," which was so fun, but the highlight of the night was boy Jaimie's rendition of journey's "Don't Stop Believing." He is such a ham. For part of the song he climbed up onto the chair, belting out "Don't stop believin'Hold on to the feelin'!" You just had to be there...

Then tonight, Bill and I were having the same old "I don't know, where do you want to eat?" conversation, so we decided to hop in the car and drive until we figure it out. We ended up having a delicious steak dinner in Kirkland (birthplace of Costco, but also a super-hip suburb of Seattle)Then we had a pumpkin latte at Tully's that we drank and played cards with the Baristas- it was dead in there. We got a cigar and smoked as we walked along the water. I've decided that I really like Kirkland and wouldn't mind moving there. It's a little farther from school than I live now, but they have a park and ride that goes right to the U-district.

In any case, Bill just opened a bottle of port to eat with strawberries an tiramisu---he knows all of my weaknesses... so i'd better wrap this up. For all of you sports enthusiasts, enjoy the game tomorrow. My friend, Missy's throwing a party because the SeaHawks are actually in the play-offs, imagine that... Have a nice Sunday!
