Last Thursday night, Steve and I went to see the Whirling Dervishes of Rumi at the Davis Theatre in Montgomery. Instead of trying to explain Whirling Dervishes, I'll provide you with this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whirling_dervish Anyways, I read in the local newspaper that day that they would be here that night. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of advertisement about them until that day when we saw a few commercials on tv. So we decided that afternoon that we'd go. We always wanted to see the Whirling Dervishes while we lived in Turkey, but we just never had the chance. So here was our chance to finally see them. And I'm glad we went. That was really one of the most amazing things I've seen in a while. It was really cool to watch. Especially with all of the colored lights they used.
I made a St. Patrick's Day tree! Boy, talk about jumping from one subject to another. Anyways, at the end of January, I set up our small (bout 3 or so ft.)christmas tree on a plant stand in the living room and decorated it for Valentine's Day. Then, about a week ago I changed it over to St. Patrick's Day. I've always wanted to do a different tree each month of the year for the different holidays, so I'm finally doing it. Next month will be Easter. I'm loving it! :)
So, I guess that's about all to this entry. I'll write more later is something interesting comes to mind. And if not, then, well, that's all folks!
