One of the last great years of the Tony Awards was in 2002, when Bernadette Peters AND Gregory Hines (RIP) were co-hosting. They took part in a grand opening medley celebrating the Richard Rodgers cenntenntial, and later took the stage by themselves for a medley of showtunes celebrating New York City.
