Slight update thingy
Meh, I'm in an apathetic mood >.<
but I thought I'd post a tiny update just for kicks.
I'm not really in a writing mood at the moment, so my fics have been slightly (but not really) put on hold. If inspiration hits with the newest
sga_flashfic prompt, or something, I'll hop to it but for now...meh XD
I don't really like where the third chapter is of New Tricks, so I am stalling on it. I think it really all boils down to my fear of writing Rodney. I'm really afraid I'll write him bad. I know I've managed decently with small snippets and one shots of snark, but I'm afraid when I try a bigger piece with him that it will fall flat. Guess I'll have to wait for the perfect snarky mood to finish the chapter.
I blame my sudden dry spell on the fact that school starts back tomorrow (T_T yay), and the sudden slight infatuation with Robert Downey Jr I've found myself in due to rewatching Iron Man, going to Tropic Thunder (which was great XD) and being introduced to a gem of a movie called "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (which my icon came from, and I am suddenly quoting/squeeing over way more than I probably should)
admit it. The man is hot. So you can understand if I've been a bit distracted ^__^
As far as my SGA muse goes...well, I was hoping "Ghost in the Machine" would bring some inspiration back...but honestly I just didn't really enjoy the episode. Plus, the title made me instantly think of
friendshipper's "Ghost in the Machine" which was the fic that got me into the whole SGA obsession shibang in the first place! (seriously...go read it ....NOW.)
Looks like I'm going to have to rely on SGA Big Bang to get my muse back in action. I haven't had time to sit down with some of the fics, so the only fic I've read so far was the one I Beta'ed called "The Most Unlikely of Couples" (which was a very enjoyable fic of Teyla x Carson. Very realistically approached. I would never have imagined these two characters meshing well, but the author (
secondalto) made it flow nicely). My next fic to read will probably be
kristen999's Imago:Tao of John, since it's the only fic that I read the preview of, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll probably make a new post after I've read most (or all) of the fics, just to sum up my thoughts on them. The author's all worked so hard and I can't wait to dive in!
