Cat updates and other stuff
Caramel went across the Rainbow Bridge back in July (july 16th), where she's hopefully playing with Jenny while waiting for us...or sleeping and being a Princess. We have two new feline friends: Jynx, a nearly-20 pound male tabby who is sweet and mellow, and Lily, a beautiful little tortoise-shell cat who has actually been ours for sometime, but lived outside as one of the "moochers" that Susan fed; she is now inside, has been spayed and despite being somewhat neurotic, has become very affectionate. And we still have Night, who is over 14 but still manages to get into mischief :)
A very difficult time for me was back in early November when I discovered that one of my best friends from high school days, the guy who got me into gaming and a former roommate was killed on October 31st in Colombia; he had been teaching at a university down there. Greg Kisseberth and I had reconnected on Facebook awhile back and it was awesome to be able to "talk" with him again; the shock of his death put me into a real tailspin for awhile. I'm ok now. There is a memorial for him on Dec 8th up here and it sounds like a lot of our friends from those days will be there.
