Too many new series this season! I've been trying to watch all episode 1's as usual but it's hard to keep up .-.
Hakushaku to yousei: I didn't understand too well but somehow episode 1 has been out for almost 2 weeks and no trace of episode 2
Toradora: seems that lots of people were waiting for this cause apparently the novels/manga are very popular. Well, first episode didn't strike me as anything particular original, but I did watch second one too and I guess it wasn't too bad? Heard lots of complaints about Kugimiya Rie doing another tsundere role but hey, I gave up on Zero no Tsukaima after first season, only watched few episodes of Hayate and didn't watch Shana at all, so I have no reason to be tired of her XD That said, I think she sounds different from her Shana/Louise/Nagi voice, and is doing a really good job. I like the guy who is doing Ryuuji even though I don't even know who he is. Opening and ending are kinda painful but the animation for them is nice I guess? Will watch few more if I don't get bored with it .-.
Casshern sins: I loved Casshern when I was 10 years old .-. When this was announced I thought it would've followed the original story so when I saw that it's completely different from the original I was a bit sad :( But first two episodes are good I guess, animation quality is impressing even though Casshen without helm looks like (Saint) Seiya and the Furuya Toru voice isn't helping >_>; Anyway they better have the dog as stable character for every episode or I'll be mad!
Hyakko: err, found this very boring somehow, and Hirano Aya's character was sooooooooo annoying (omg what's that whiny high pitched voice she was using) I guess it's not my kind of show seeing how other people liked it? Anyway, dropped!
Shikabane hime Aka: Gainax's new show. Hmmm first episode didn't really impress me, mainly cause I don't like what looks like the male lead (the young boy). I like the priest better! Also both the boy and Shikabane hime herself are voiced by models/actors/dunno-what-they-exactly-are new to voice acting and both sound really dull and flat. Opening and ending are really great tho (<3 angela), the opening animation is also really well done and it made me want to watch episode 2. So I guess I'm giving it few more episodes!
Kuroshitsuji: There is something hilarious in seeing a butler killing dozens of people by throwing silver forks and knives at them .-. I still don't know if I should laugh or cry at it but for now I'll keep watching XD Sakamoto Maaya is soooo awesome when voicing boys, and first episode had really nice animation, even though second one wasn't as nice >_>; At the moment this is the "wtf" series of the season for me <.<
Yozakura Quartet: I actually really liked this even though the episodes themselves weren't anything special. I guess the weird cast of characters makes it interesting somehow? Also, Seki Tomokazu as the bad guy yay! Opening and ending are really nice, both songs and animation wise.
Tales of the Abyss: I loooooove Tales of the Abyss XD Maybe my favorite Tales game atm. Anime version doesn't look as good as the cutscenes in the game and I have few issues with chara design and animation details, but overall it looks ok and is following the game very closely, which is nice. I'm also happy they kept Karma as opening cause I love the song even though the animation looks kinda bad compared to the game opening >_> Ending is new but still written by the Bump of Chiken guy and sounds nice. Cast is stellar (they kept everyone from the game except Ion's seiyuu, but that's ok cause I like his new voice better, sounds less girly XD) Definitely gonna follow this to the end .-.
Will add more later after I finish watching few more XD
